Preferences can help explain why closeness, personal space, plans and conflict are experienced differently.
Naming needs
One person restores energy in silence while another experiences conversation as proof of closeness. One prefers plans while another needs open space. Neither cares more or less; they recognize safety and affection through different signals.
Slowing down conflict
Under pressure, we tend to intensify our usual reaction. Agree on a pause signal, a specific time to resume and two questions: what do I need now, and what do I not want you to misunderstand?
Compatibility is larger than a profile
Shared values, respect, responsibility and the ability to repair matter more than a supposedly compatible type. Use the profile to ask questions, not to justify behavior or predict a person.
